Ms. Alexander is the founder of The SYA Firm, PLLC, focused primarily on Estate Planning. Ms. Alexander is a certified Personal Family Lawyer, devoted to providing holistic estate planning services designed to ensure peace of mind for her clients in the event of incapacity or death.
Also, for over 9 years, Ms. Alexander served as outside general counsel to multiple universities, school districts, businesses, and municipalities. Her representation encompasses education, business, administrative, property, construction, administrative litigation, civil and contract drafting, review, and negotiation; governance; and multiple general matters.
Previously, she represented the State of Texas in regulatory litigation and administrative law for nearly 7 years, and was the founding member of a general practice focused on estate planning and providing corporate governance, general counsel.
Ms. Alexander has a passion for assisting business owners locally and globally. Ms. Alexander was awarded a Mandela Washington Reciprocal Exchange Fellowship, where she co-founded a micro-lending company focused on providing foundational funding and mentorship to budding businesses.
Finally, Ms. Alexander has an interest and experience in international law and affairs. Specifically, she interned with a non-governmental organization in Kampala, Uganda, where she began research on legal reform of Uganda’s law regarding homeless children and assisted litigators in seeking justice for illegally detained and/or abused children. In addition to interning abroad, Ms. Alexander studied humanities in the United Kingdom; international human rights and contracts in Italy, and international arbitration and energy law in Spain.
